I have a possible opportunity to get a launch green r1s, but I've never seen this color in person. Doesn't seem like any are for sale near me.

Photos online of this color are highly varied, including in the photos thread. Some are a much more dull olive drab and other a more army green. I know lighting changes this color a lot, but can anyone give me guidance on what is an accurate representation of this color?

Agreed, the 2nd picture is more accurate.

It is a very dynamic color, some days it appears almost grey, other days as you mentioned it is almost a forest green...there is a definite association with the cloud cover present.

I feel like your Picture "B" is the most common representation of my Launch Green. Pics for reference...

both are accurate. like some of the other Rivian colors, it changes depending on the lighting. in direct sunlight it looks like the 2nd pic. in cloudy, indirect light it looks more like the 1st pic. in shadows it gets darker and at night it can look like a dark green or dark grey. though it looks "flat" its actually has "fleck" so that it does have some glimmer in direct light.

its an awesome color, highly recommend

I went through this same dilemma a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to decide between launch green and forest green. I ended up going for the launch green. The first time I ever saw the color in person was when picking up my vehicle at the service center last week. I'm completely happy that I went with it, I really love the color.

Here is a photo of mine from the morning after I picked it up that may help to show how much the light affects the appearance.

I would agree, my R1T appears more like your second picture in most scenarios. Originally I had white selected, but I am SO happy I made the change prior to finalizing my configuration. LG w/ Forest Edge interior is a winning combo in my opinion! Good Luck!!

If you’ve seen the “Forest Edge” interior color, that is nearly identical to “Launch Green” exterior.

I should also note that it seems like a lot of launch green owners have gotten a matte PPF, muting the color even more. So be aware of that when looking at photos. If it looks *DULL*, it’s probably a matte PPF/wrap, not the actual paint, which is glossy.

These 2 photos represent outside colors well. At night or inside would be a bit darker

I have one, love it. Definitely more like the 2nd picture.
