The holy grail I'm looking for is something that can charge at 5+kW and fit under the tonneau cover. I don't think this one fits?
I'm looking for the same. This setup looks interesting. Two GenMax running in series for a total of ~6kW. It’s 17.9" tall, so about 0.9" too tall. But, if you remove the feet and/or shave the handle a bit it would probably fit under the tonneau.

Generac XT8000EFI works well. I’ve got it powering our whole home so on days we have outages I’ve had to dial our Wallbox down to to 12A or 16A depending on other loads we have going but other wise should be able to provide for 24A or 30A if there’s no other load.

I suspect the ambient temp when charging is important, as well if the generator runs at steady RPM. I had a Honda Inverter generator once, they are quiet and stable, just 120 VAC if I remember right.
Also when LPG is used, the power output is decreased on any generator. I do suspect CNG would be convienent due to space of cylender required.

There are a couple details to offer. I used my Champion dual fuel 6K I think it has a 30 amp 220 outlet. But! I used that to the generator inlet port to my house. This is then going thru my Rivian L2 wall charger. I did this and it worked fine, I have my wall charger on a 50 Amp breaker. I have the charger hardwired. I think I set the dashboard amp setting at 30 Amp. All went well.
