Level 2 charging speed question

My charger consistently charged at 11.2kw now it charges at 10.8 at 48A. I know there are heaps of variables but I did not know if L2 degradation was common after 18 months.

Most likely your supply voltage dropped a little. 240 nominal could be 228-252v Remember 1kw is 1000 watts. W=VxA so if your getting 228v x 48a that's 10.9kw so pretty close to 10.8. I've seen about that much difference on different days or times of day.

I fluctuate between the upper 8s and low 9s all the time on my 50A outlet. Its all good.

Standard three-phase power in USA is 208 volts. Standard single-phase power in USA is 240 volts. That's about a 13% difference.

If you're charging at different chargers, a difference in designed voltage could explain a difference in the charging rate in kilowatts.

Otherwise, I like @pickupman2022's explanation above. Power supply voltages are not consistent from one time to another.
