Max charge randomly changed from 70% to 50% overnight

Last night I had my 2024 gen 1 R1S plugged in to my Rivian wall charger and set to run between 11pm and 7am to a maximum of 70%. At 11pm it started charging right on time and finished at 70%. When I woke up this morning and looked at the app the maximum had randomly changed to 50%. The vehicle was showing as having about 68% left (a couple of percent was evidently used overnight).

Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts as to why this might have happened?

The only other time this was reported here, it was determined to be user error. The owner accidentally slid the setting back to the left.

Well unless I did it while fast asleep I don’t think that was the case. Obviously I will be monitoring it in future.

Rivian software is full of gremlins. It's like a bag of randomness in there.

I find you have to wait for the setting to change in the app, wait until it is not grey and shows updated. I have been impatient many times and it didn't update. Maybe similar?

I think this is what happened to me a couple of days ago. After a day of longer travel I wanted to change back to 70%. I was sure I did it in the app but the car charged to 85%. It's always good to switch screens on the app and go back and verify.
