It‘s defenetly a color thing!!! I’m April 2019 order R1T Limestone FE with May June no contact. I see above June 2022 preorder has already been contacted.. Doesn’t seem right given the preorder times ????

Well the 8 steps opened up for me tonight only a few hours after talking with my guide for the first time. Went through them pretty quick and now just awaiting for step 8 to open. That was fast

This whole thread is driving me absolutely nuts. So close, yet so far. It's like the two days of nice sunny weather we get each March in Seattle before it rains till July 4th.

So. I went to change my wheel size this morning from 20-22” but my configuration was locked which was odd. Went to chat and they said congrats your guide will be contacting you shortly. Spoke to him about an hour later. They were trying to lock me in to take delivery this month (i was a May/June estimate). I said absolutely but let’s get the wheel sizes changed first. Long story short, I had to give up my spot to make the change. So I did and the timing estimate was unknown but the guide said it could be a week or months.

So, long story short, lock in your selections ASAP or be ready to get skipped over…

I suspect it may be too late for any LE R1T pre orders. I wonder if you'd get the same feedback for other changes, color, add/subtract off road package, interior color, going from 22 to 20" wheels, etc.

Config was open for me last week. Added a few accessories like rubber floor mats and roof rack. Yes from what I was told. Btw, I never got advanced word on “locking” in config or a heads up about a guide contacting me to take “early” delivery.

My guess is yes as they appear to be matching people with trucks built and at the local delivery center.

Had my guide call today. Was as expected, I was offered to switch to black interior and take delivery in a week. Not much else discussed, and was obvious it was just to fill the orders for black interior. I have OC reserved and declined the switch to black. Regarding OC timeline, i was told May/June still on track, but no futher information available to refine the timeline.

With the frozen molasses pace of Rivian getting individuals config pages reset, how is a person supposed to make any changes to the intended (orig. pricing) config? With the inappropriate "new pricing" still presented the choices and pricing no longer align across-the-board.

For those of you who received Guide contacts, is the email from Rivian?
I am an August 2020, LE with 20’s and BM interior. I am Compass Yellow, so maybe that will be a hang up.

It’s obvious that Rivian wants to close every sale that it can. Q1 comes to a close in 9-days.

I spoke to CS today and it sounded like you you will only be able to change once your guide calls to say your vehicle is ready for delivery!!!! Any changes made in the newer system will not be reflected when the old version is restored. The old version appears to be restored within 24 hours of guide contact. So, you are basically being selected based on your place in line, based on exterior color, at your delivery center and being offered whatever vehicle they have available. I guess that defeats the purpose of a configurator, but hey at least they are delivering trucks.

I am about 90% confident that my LE config is set with Launch Green, Black Mountain R1T with 20's, but yesterday the wife made a comment about a LG R1S!!!! I suppose I can still do that, but really sucks to think I have to wait for the R1T to be ready for delivery and then say oh yeah, I would rather have the R1S. And I STILL have to wait for my second, non LE, pre-order.

I expect this to slow down after 3/30. Once the Q1 rush is over, things may return to normal and give them time to fix everyone's config.
