all right you guys I finally picked up the truck at Atlanta SC (actually a nearby furniture store parking lot). Wanted to share these pics as I think I'm the first forum dude to get white on green.
It's amazing all around. No issues found to speak of and I've put 500 miles on it in two days.
Extremely glad I bought the Lectron Tesla jplug adaptor as the first hotel we stopped at in the way home had only two EV chargers and they were both Tesla wall units. That gave me 100% battery in ten hours. Here's the pics

You can have an electrician come and run the circuit to where you want to install the charger and put a NEME 14/50 plug for now. Then you can use the portable charger and once you get the Rivian charger they can come back and make the switch.

I did this, but my electrician just left me an extra wire to do the connection to the charger myself.

Just curious, how long after delivery did it take to get your rivian wall charger? I'm getting delivery on 5/25 and the guide isn't sure how long it may be before I get the charger. This is my first electric so I have nothing until it lands besides 110.
Guide promised to send tracking number when my Rivian Wall Charger shipped, but it just showed up on my front porch 2 days before R1T delivery, and got tracking number from Rivian AFTER I received the charger.

Nice - Just following up on the Lectron Adapter. I am (hopefully) getting my R1T in a few weeks and only have a Tesla charger at home so I bought the Lectron until I decide if I want to replace the Tesla charger with a third party. (might leave the Tesla charger there and add a 2nd anyway)

Did you get the same charge rate with the Lectron adapter as the Rivian Charger?
Lectron Tesla adapter getting 10 kW, 23 miles per hour at motel in Mississippi. Last night, Rivian Wall Charger at home got 11 ish kW and 25-26 miles per hour...so the Lectron Tesla adapter is really pretty close, and outstanding on the road.

I somewhat harassed my guide about this. But it’s scheduled to arrive tomorrow and my truck on Tues. I finished the wiring today and have the line stubbed out in my garage ready for the charger. I did not get the feeling that this would have been a priority for Rivian had I not consistently inquired about the status with my guide. They are supposedly there for a reason - use them!

Has anyone received a Guide contact or been able to lock your order on their site since Rivian's last email?

It has been over 3 weeks since I signed my PBA. Texted my guide on Friday to see if she had any news on my vehicle. She first said the vehicle is waiting to be shipped then said it might be waiting for production. :headbang: I guess she has no idea. With the long holiday weekend approaching, I'm giving up hope on receiving my 8 step before the end of May. Looking forward to a brighter June.

I wonder if RIVN would prefer more deliveries AFTER June 30 so that Q3 looks like a much improved quarter? That is, have it written-off Q2 results?

Given the SC delivery bottleneck, the answer is no. Creating a bigger backlog does not guarantee better quarterly results, and shooting yourself in the Q2 foot to try to pump Q3 isn't exactly a good plan.

Right there with you. Over 3 weeks since PBA and no real updates. I’ve become way more impatient after getting assigned a guide and signing the PBA! Haha

Guess I am one of the lucky ones (knock on wood). Gave up on the 20" Darks after guide contacted me about changing those out to get quicker delvery. She said it may be over a month before she sees those available again for some reason (batching?). Texted her back and said I'd be happy with the regular 20" ATs. I went to twraps.com and ordered some black carbon fiber vinyl wrap covers for the silver spokes. Figured I'd give those a try and if I don't like them then just go powdercoat route. Regradless, she matched me with truck in 10 minutes. 8 Step process took about a day. Just got text that truck passed all inspections today. I'm actually going to be in NYC Friday so taking delivery in Brooklyn at 9:30 and then heading home to Indy area! Fingers crossed.
