I just checked the map and the only non-Tesla supercharger that shows up anywhere in the West is in Moab! I am hoping to hit the Rivian Adventure Network Supercharger in Grand Junction and then drive the overland route between Fruita and Moab. This would put me in Moab around Oct 10 to 13 depending on when we leave Grand Junction. Would LOVE to confirm that the Magic Dock is working for Rivians in Moab before I attempt this! And if any other Rivians want to join, please reach out!
Tesla will continue their magic dock rollout to get that sweet sweet government cheese. I believe the number will be like 3500 chargers. The rest 4000 will be slower destination chargersGood to hear more Superchargers with CCS charging. Tesla seems to be slow rolling these with no pattern at all. Guess just buying time until the CCS adapters are ready?
Yep they really want that government money. I wonder if there is a time frame to rollout the 3500 magic docks? Hopefully there is so they pick up the pace a bit.Tesla will continue their magic dock rollout to get that sweet sweet government cheese. I believe the number will be like 3500 chargers. The NACS agreements with 12,000 chargers in spring 2024 will need the NACS to CCS adapter which Rivian customers should get for free.

I'm taking a trip to northern Minnesota next August and would like to be able to use a supercharger or two near Minneapolis and Duluth. I have about a 10% confidence that Tesla would be able to get those adapters out to everyone by August of next year.
I heard that Tesla is the on providing the adapters to Rivian, Ford, GM, etc.Rivian said….
An adapter will be available to enable Rivian's award-winning R1T and R1S to charge on the Supercharger network as early as spring 2024.
So what they’re saying is, s000000n you will be able to charge at one of the 12,000 Tesla Superchargers across the nation.
Tesla promised this by the end of 2024. It's not clear to me they are getting government money from it though ...I wonder if there is a time frame to rollout the 3500 magic docks?
Agreed. They need to step it up then. 200 a month is about 15-20 sites. That's much faster than they have been going.Tesla promised this by the end of 2024. It's not clear to me they are getting government money from it though ...
So there are 13 Magic Dock sites in the US now, with a combined 136 pedestals total, that leaves 3500 - 136 = 3364 still to go, or more than 200 pedestals a month to meet their commitment by the end of 2024. Better get moving, because at this pace they're not going to make it. This is something we all want/need.
When you sign up the Tesla app you provide your credit card number. When you activate the charger with the app for CCS charging it goes into “CCS mode” and when you remove the cable from the pedestal it has a CCS adapter mated. You just plug it into your R1 and charge. Pretty sweet.Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but the site in Moab just requires an R1S owner to download the Tesla app to initiation charging (assuming you enter a credit card number)? No other adapters needed? So does the Magic Dock have a cable with CCS connector?
Tesla, all good. Just like any other SuperchargerDoes anyone know what the process is like if you also have a Tesla? I've got an early one with unlimited supercharging, and the UI doesn't look like the screenshots that @MidnightRivian showed. Do I need to create a new Rivian-specific Tesla account?
