Mono audio after upgrade to 2023.42.1

Thanks for posting this. I had the same problem and thought that the stereo was defective. Mine went mono after the update and it took a bit to figure out what happened. Take a song - good one Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. After the update you wouldn’t hear the guitar at the beginning cause it’s panned to the right. It just disappears and you can only hear the left side on all speakers. Feels like everything is small and coming through the middle. Anyway thx - the infotainment reset took care of it and the change is night and day and the stereo sounds amazing again. Before the reset it was mono on all audio - Bluetooth, radio, etc. but I work in music so had a couple tracks that I knew you would be able to tell right away if it was wrong. Thanks again for the fix suggestion.

Had mobile service for something 2 weeks ago and the tech advised me to reset the car after every software update. I got the feeling mono stereo isn't the only anomaly

Thanks for this thread. Could figure out why my music has sounded so crappy lately. I guess a refresh every now and again is the way to go.

So, another upgrade (to 2024.07.02) and another mono Spotify. Infotainment reset did resolve it.

Wish they’d fix this. I did open a ticket.

Gonna bring this back alive, its STILL happening. Even with atmos and the addition of Apple Music, the audio problem is ever present. I know that its an easy solution to just do an infotainment reset, but at the same time, A lot of my driving is through hours of mountain passes where there is almost no where to pull off and having to do so is an inconvenience, just to get my stereo or spatial audio back.

This error happens to me probably weekly. SometimesI even have to reset the infotainment twice to get it to go away. Is anyone else experiencing it this often as well?

The release notes for the next release in a couple weeks has a note about a bug fix for 1 channel being duplicated on all channels (although it notes this is a issue particularly with Atmos content). Wonder if it's a fix for this finally or something else.
