1 year of ownership was up yesterday and what a year! Absolutely love this truck, get's better with every update. Took a few road trips in the last year:
  • 824 Miles - Normal, IL to Wilmington, DE
  • 1,454 Miles - Wilmington, DE to Atlanta, GA and back
  • 1,280 Miles - Wilmington, DE to Charleston, SC and back
And soon I will be taking it to Texas and back to Delaware roughly 3,000 miles, wish me luck!

Thought you guys might appreciate my 1 year statistics. Never reset the Trip A, so this is what my R1T did over 1 year (and still on the original 20" tires with plenty of tread left):

Nice. You’re more efficient with your 20s than I am with 21s. I do a lot of short trips and I seem to maybe have the most inefficient truck on the forum.

Nice tread report too. Mine are looking not so great at 13.5k

“Never reset trip A” - I wish there was a non-resettable “lifetime” Trip Meter. Maybe located in Settings -> About -> Trip Meters Are Not Settings. Joking aside, a lifetime meter would be good. I accidentally reset Trip A about 1,000 miles in

Thanks for the update and your total keg to miles works out. Mine doesn’t but it is only three weeks old so time for lifetime to work itself out. As 858 kWh at 2 miles per kWh should be 1700 miles not 1482.

We should compare notes on the most inefficient Truck. I also do mostly short trips less than 20 miles and tend to drive 70+ on the freeways. I’ve never been able to get more than 150 miles out of 100% charge. It also seems the first 15% is always horrible. I’ll get about 20 to 30 miles from 100% down to 85%.
I charge to 100% because there’s only one level three charger in my area and it’s 9 miles away..PS just had it checked out at the service center and they said everything is fine.

No charging at home? Maybe I misunderstood your comment

Somewhere along the line my trip A reset itself. I had 44,000 (of 47,000 total) on trip A and a 2.36 efficiency across all drive modes & both sets of tires (20s). Then I reset trip B to check if efficiency improved with the last update. Checked the other day and both trip A & B said 2.24 after 1572 miles. Trip B had the 1572 miles; trip A said 47,000. Math of that is impossible.

What is your range estimate for Conserve mode?

I get 303 miles for 20s on R1S and am wondering this is about right / normal. If I drive gentle-r, will the #s go up?

Trip meter was wildly inaccurate around December 2022. They fixed at some point after that

8000 miles in for me and 2.22 mi/kWh on 20s. Probably 95% AP mode, 4% Sport, and 1% Conserve.

Well, I haven’t had my rig long, but after 800+ miles, I’m tracking pretty close to your numbers, also on 20’s.

And, hell yeah. Why is there not a lifetime odometer? I’m sorry, but I just don’t get that. The data has got to be in there somewhere. Actually, I’d like to see an odometer right on the dash screen.

I wish Rivian would explain how these numbers are calculated. I've found the trip odometer efficiency numbers not useful.

I have a separate power meter for charging my truck, and based on how much power goes through that meter, and also the KWHr reported by my rivian wall charger, I consitently get about 1.75-1.85 miles/kwhr, much less than the odometer numbers. (with dc charging the numbers are better, but I don't have much data) My utility meter agrees with the Rivian charger to within 1%.

I assume/guess the odometer efficiency report doesn't include vampire losses, energy used to maintain batterty temps, accessories, any charging conversion losses, etc. Without those included, the long term stats it might show don't seem meaningful.

I have about 16,000 miles on my truck. The trip odometer reports my efficiency at 2.5 mi/kwh over its lifetime, and about 2.4 for the last 4600 miles. There was short period last winter where the the mi/kwh numbers were really high (>3, but incorrect, not sure if that was for everybody).

The total distance numbers divided by the efficiency never matches the total energy for any screen shots I've seen.
