The driver connected phone(app) being auto prompted to contact Rivian support.

I’m thinking it’s just a symbol to contact tech support for help from a specialist.

Nah, that owl shows up on the regular on the center display phone screen

Maybe you got a spam call and the car went to respond to the incoming call but your phone spam filter declined it and the car screen hung. I notice that on certain spam calls that my phone starts to ring/display the incoming call and then it gets declined.

The most curious part of the post is the OP saying his car just started coasting, but was then able to put it in reverse and get back on the highway. That seems really odd and unlikely for a simple screen crash. I had my whole infotainment screen reboot one time while driving, but it had zero impact on the drivability of the the vehicle. Though, I didn't enjoy it happening.

Hopefully OP updates us on the findings from the SC.

A couple of weeks ago, my S lost all acceleration and asked me to pull over immediately and call for a tow. I call customer service and they had me reset the vehicle (holding the left steering wheel button and hazard lights for 10 seconds). That did the trick. No issues since, but (sadly) the car has a ways to go now to regain my trust.
