MY24 came with Silver Colored Key Fob Buttons

Just picked up my MY24 R1S yesterday (12/31/23), built on 12/22/23, VIN 032xxx. Pleasantly surprised MY24 appears to come with colored key fob buttons now instead of embossed, and only the lock button is raised.

Let me know if there's anything anyone else wants me to check that's changed on MY24. Sadly still no frunk 12V or dash 12V

Odd.. and a little disappointing for me. I picked up my 2024 R1T day before yesterday… also a 12/2023 build. I got the same old black buttons… and tough to see for a man of a certain age. Maybe something they are starting with just the S models.

I like that improvement! I do have trouble seeing the all black buttons. I’m going to paint them yellow like someone on this thread shared.

I agree. Definitly an improvement, but my fob has virtually zero use.

Lack of consistent use of the fob IS the problem.

I have not memorized the button placement like all my other fobs, which I can use in the dark. For a lightly used fob, I really want the buttons to be easy to identify.

You’re not missing much. Easy to fill those recessed icons with paint and tooth pick. Gently scrape off overfill with xacto blade to get clean sharp edges. Better yet, don’t use the bulky fob at all. Phone app has lots more useful controls. Stick one of the key cards in your wallet as backup.

It's a MY R, definitely a 2024. The service center delivering mentioned it was one of the first they'd seen.
