Nav marker continues moving after stopped

Every time I stop with regen (not using the brake) the nav marker zooms ahead and then bounces back to the point or origin.

It's happened since I took delivery 3 months ago. I've taken it to service 2 times for this issue and each time they tell me the hardware is fine but the firmware needs to be updated. Theres been 3 firmware updates and they haven't addressed the issue at all.

Its becoming very frustrating because I'm pinned between the SC saying they cant do anything and wont replace the telematics unit (because its passing all tests) and if the engineering team think this issue is important enough to fix.. whenever that is.

Leaving the worst taste in my mouth because I cannot figure out how to solve this problem, and the SC is stonewalling me and deflecting to the "firmware".

Has anyone has this problem and had it fixed? Any advice?

Mine bounces around a bit…but usually after stopped. It’ll move like 100-200’ forward then come back.

Is this the "bounce" that sometimes happens when you come to a stop? Happens to me every now and then. Once you start moving again, the havigation starts tracking again. Never thought it was a big deal or anything to worry about.

Yea its not a safety issue or anything, its much more an annoyance seeing the marker bounce around every time I stop. It also constantly re-routes when I have the nav going in stop and go traffic.

Also just.. its such an established tech Im more shocked they still have issues with it when they have done so many impressive things with the drivetrain etc.

I have it also, since November. Its a lot better than it used to be, but its still there. It doesn't re-route my navigation as often as it used to. It is annoying, but I have not sought correction, since my nearest service center is over 2 hours away.

I had this issue a while back.

Service was able to fix it in my case.

Not exactly the same but similar.

Sometimes after I make a turn, the GPS indicator shows the vehicle going straight for a few blocks before it realizes I turned.

My R1S is at the SC right now for this same issue (and a few others) 15 days after delivery.

My 11 month old R1T has never done this.

Not yet. Work order just lists “Communication Modules.”

I have the same issue. Mind-boggling that this is a problem. Love my R1S, but they sure did a terrible job on their navigation and infotainment. Where is your service center? I just put in a ticket in for the Boston (Chelsea) center.

Mines in Vancouver, BC. The wait times aren’t bad but they’ve been unbelievable stubborn with this issue which is a bit concerning. How many other issues will there be that’ll be deferred to firmware, with basically no recourse for the customer except waiting.
