Hello my dudes!

Allow me to introduce the new OpenSource EV Parts Seat Back Hanger. It's a super easy way to hang up to 5 pounds of dry cleaning, groceries, or whatnot on the rear of the driver and passanger seat in your Rivian. It adapts the stock tiny hanger on the back to a 40MM hook so you can hang items on it easier, without worrying about marring the seatback.

The product uses the same mounting plate as the Seatback Tablet Holder. A 40MM hook mount instead with the same M5 x 25 steel bot and low profile T-nut. As mentioned prior, it's rated to up top 5 pounds, despite being tested at over double that.

One of the awesome things is that if you already have a Seat Back Tablet mount, you can adapt it into this product by only purchasing the hook portion through our Replacement Parts area on the site, assuming you have a recent Tablet Mount without the Delrin pins.


Just to be really clear, these are absolutely not to be used when folks are in the backseat. I'm not even sure if it needs mentioned, but there you go...

I have one already. It’s a big improvement over the built-in hook for me. I’ve got an umbrella and a couple hats hanging behind the driver seat and they have stayed on the hook perfectly. A raincoat would also hang great, as would reusable shopping bags.

If you’ve got any of Rob’s other stuff, you know the quality of the designs.

Considering someone's dog had already sustained injuries to the factory hook, not just "someone".

100% concur. This is not to be used while someone is in the backseat. There is both a message about there in the OP and one of the site.
