Serious question... does anyone know if the Cybertruck PT has been failing? I ask because it is a completely different design then Rivian uses. It will be interesting to see which design works best over time.

Looked at one in the showroom a couple months ago and it started binding up and not coming down evenly as the rep showed it off.

Yikes, I have installation of a PTC scheduled for August 30 and now wonder if I should request the manual TC?

Mine was replaced a few weeks ago. I don't think it's that much more robust than the original design. I am going to continue to use the below Dry Lube Spray once a month in hopes that it stays functional.

I drive mainly with a bike in the bed, so I only use an Interrobang manual cover on road trips without a bike. Just not worth it to get a retrofit PTC. My manual cover lives in it’s carrying case from the same manufacturer.
