I was checking the forums for details about the next software update. It looks like there is none yet. Is it typical of Rivian to skip Jan, following holidays in December?

The most recent software update went live on December 8th. Too early to give up on January.

I predict we'll have an update within the next 30 hours.

Seems like they are doing extended testing and ran into an issue with the 2023.50. There is a 2023.50.1 in beta now so if there was an issue I’m glad they didn’t release it and are fixing it first this time.

And it's not really like they release the updates on a set schedule. They release updates as they are written, tested, and verified (well, with that one exception ). So while they generally come out once a month, it's not like it's an actual schedule.

Rivian should stop releasing the features of the next update until right before it is pushed out. Too many people think that is the date it becomes available.

Good grief. It's only the 8th of January. Don't we all know by now when Rivian says something is coming (and they haven't), they mean at the last possible moment of said time period? /s

They'll release to public when they are damn well ready. Unless you want a repeat of that one fiasco.

Even if Rivian had the disclaimer, people will still see only what they want to see.

They added a couple features as well to 50.1 from 50.0

Last year had a 6 week gap between versions numbers instead of the typical 4.

What are these software updates people are referring too? Haven't a few states tried to outlaw them since they hurt dealers?

It is Jan 8th give it a week let's see what happens. If we are talking about this on Jan 20 that is different.
