Non-LE Delivery Window Poll

August ‘21 Preorder. R1T Adventure Max Pack. Delivery Window is Second Half of 2023. I’m a late reservation holder and knew max pack would have a penalty, so I’m fine with the estimate. I just hope that, if people jump ship and go to other products, they bump up the window for people who reserved in 2020 and 2021 before slotting in new orders for Adventure Large Packs.

Does anyone know if being in NJ carries a penalty on delivery timing? It’s not easy for direct sales here. I haven’t seen any early ’22 delivery windows for NJ residents, but maybe I missed it.

Just got my delivery window. Order number 1224 placed in November 2018 for an Explorer. Deliver window first half of "2023"

Thanks for sharing. It looks like we are all getting our windows today and there was never a plan for gradual distribution. Although I feel bad to have the same window as you having ordered almost three years later, I feel like I am in the same club (the unloved, unwanted, second class insignificant Explorers). R1S was supposed to be delivered in 2021 and we have not seen any reviews of the final version even after initial deliveries. That tells me there is a chance none of the Explore guys know what they are getting and some may not even know until they get it. Have you seen any R1T or R1S explores in any threads?

I also have R1T Max Pack... ordered APR 2021. My delivery window is 1st half of 2023. I'll be interested to see what the preorder cutoff date is to differentiate between 1st half 2023 and 2nd half 2023. Must be somewhere between APR and JUN 2021 order date??

Location could make a difference too. It may not be just order date although that is possible.

R1T Adventure package, max pack. Ordered Mar 2020. Delivery window first half of 2023.

Considering downgrading to large pack, but not until there is confirmation that would get me a truck in 2022. All they have said is that they will talk to the max pack order holders from 2018-19 about getting a large pack in 2022. If I downgrade and still end up waiting until 2023, my wife will suffer through even more loud vulgarities and foot stomping than every other broken promise and estimate in the last 2 years.

I would be happier with individualized communication with build dates and actual production schedule instead of vague windows and lame excuses for missing every date and production target so far. I'm old enough to remember every Tesla problem since placing an order for my first X in Jan 2014 and day one reservation on the Model 3. This smells different. There is no aggression in their efforts to ramp up. I don't think they have the right people to do so. 2022 is going to be a disaster for them. Q1 can be written off entirely right this minute due to Omicron alone.

I agree it would be tough to be such an early reservation holder, yet watch much later orders come in with similar delivery dates. You previously said "Nothing to do with LE timeline", but I'm curious. Was it a conscious decision to order a Large Pack Adventure Model, or did you, like others, miss the short timeline within the Configurator before the Launch Edition was sold out?

I know some people were disappointed that they didn't get in early enough, but others made the choice to go for the non-LE model. I couldn't figure out why. Again, just wondering.

I have a July 5th, 2021 R1T pre order with the Adventure package and a Max Pack. I ended up in the second half of 2023. I live less than 100 miles from the assembly plant.

Max, just curious about your "R1S Explore Max". I pre-ordered about a month prior, an R1S Adventure, but have never seen an R1S Max Pack option.
Not that the Max Pack looks any better now that their dates have pushed out, but do you still have an R1S ordered Aug '21 with a Max Pack configured?

Same configuration here but ordered two days later.

Hopefully something changes(perhaps enough people will be annoyed about delays and cancel, shortening the queue!) and they can start running max pack sooner.
