I'd gladly carry a portable battery charger (not a gas generator - I'm not into irony) but don't seem to see anything out there specifically designed for this purpose. Anyone know of a solution out there that that might be able to supply an emergency charge to get at least a few miles of range that could be kept charged and carried in the back of an R1S (even better it it could fit in the frunk)?
This is another great solution and can take the 30% tax credit. Only 100 Pounds and stackable for more power

Ok, price getting closer - no wheels and 100 pounds means getting it up and down stairs or into a trunk would be a problem though.

You can buy 12v, 100ah lithium batteries that weigh about 25lbs for around $200. Just search amazon or ebay for "100ah lifepo4"

Each one has enough power to add 2 miles of range to a Rivian. You can buy as many as you want, carry them down the stairs one (or two) at a time.

Then just hook them all up to an inverter, plug in your mobile charge cable, and you are (slowly) charging.

______________

That said - this is a dumb idea. If you are really worried about dead battery, a AAA membership is much better solution.

Paying to tow your vehicle to a fast charger will be cheaper and faster than trying to carry a meaningful amount of batteries down a staircase just to trickle charge 2 miles of range into your vehicle.

The only realistic portable recharge solution is a gas generator. Nothing else comes close to the size, portability and actual power able to be put into the battery pack.

As long as you can deal with 32 amps, the Tesla evse kit is the best option.

The price of an ecoflow is making the max pack upgrade look good.
