Premium sound disappointing

Picked up our gen 2 tri motor which came with premium sound. Love the rig overall but sound is disappointing and very muted I would say. There just isn't the crispness I expected. For comparison the sound in my Chevy Bolt sounds better. Hoping an upgrade will fix it but was wondering if anyone else observed this issue?

The .43 update is a significant improvement in the sound quality as well as the overall balance within the cabin. Night and day difference.

IMHO, the Dolby Atmos needs additional refinement in terms of recentering like they did for the stereo signal. Still a very forward centric soundstage. But this last update shows there is plenty of room for software improvements with the system.

Hang in there, help is coming. Keep an eye out for the update.

I have the Gen 1 and am on .39 version and the sound is AMAZING. I listen to everything from PODCASTS to thrash metal, heavy metal, classic rock, easy listening and lately Christmas music and it sounds great. WHen I am using APPLE MUSIC and the songs are Dolby Atmos.......the sound is coming from everywhere.

Few other threads on this but for gen 2 premium sound .39, tweaking the EQ can get it to acceptable levels. The .43 update currently rolling out fixes a lot of the sound issues including sound stage and muddiness. Poorly mixed atmos tracks still sound terrible but that’s the mix, not the speakers. I prefer to turn atmos off or just use Spotify for a more consistent experience.

Updated to .43 and the sound is now excellent!
