Our R1S has had some niggles, but the R1T has been great, only a few little fit and finish things.

12k miles and took delivery march of this year. So far , we have been very lucky. The r1s only been to service center 3x for small minor stuff and some factory recalls. Only thing that they can't fix is the slight drifting to the right , which we finally gave up and learned to live with it.

3300 miles on my T. It has been great! Had one little issue when I tested the conserve mode on a trip and it would not go back into all-purpose, or any other mode. Made a service call while still driving (In conserve). The Rivian guy advised me to pull over so we could do a hard reset. He walked me through the easy process and all turned out well. Only took a couple of minutes and I was on my way. Other than that, it has been an awesome joy to drive! Just got back from another 300 mile round trip over the Sierras to Sacramento. Gotta tone my driving down on those mountain roads, lest I get a ticket ? Hate those drivers that want to challenge you in the passing lanes -see ya.

praise be! ?
Love my R1T- such a beautiful re-imagining of what a truck could be. Rides like a dream, effectively zero maintenance, and will out-climb/out-perform most. A noise! A squeak! A rub! Oh my!

For the folks complaining that their space ship lacks a cup holder. Remember: you are in a space ship. ?

35K miles on our R1T, very minor service needed. Still has original Tonneau cover and it works. On my 2nd set of AT's. Love the ride of our truck. FYI Vin #018X. So yep one of the early owners. Would not trade it.

15K miles, 1.5 years. Some panel gaps taken care of in the first month. They decided to replace my HVAC system due to condensate seeping into driver floorboard a month later when I discovered that. Had an R1T loaner for 5 days while they did this. The Austin TX service center has been great to deal with, every bit as professional and prompt as my years long relationship with my Honda dealer (gen 1 Ridgeline was the truck my R1T replaced.). The truck is always a joy to drive.

No more problems than my F-150. Counting oil changes, it has been to the shop less.

September 2022 delivery so we have had our R1T for more than a year now. The VIN is under 10,000. We've put 30,000 miles on it with a number of road trips and daily driving. We love the truck and would not hesitate to recommend it for a friend or family member to buy. Yes, there have definitely been warranty items and communication pains, but put simply, when we call, someone answers, and when we have an issue, it has gotten fixed. My boss picked up his R1S about 6 months ago and hasn't been back to the service center since.

For context, we live 20 minutes from the Chicago service center, so getting the truck in isn't a big deal. Also, we have an extra vehicle to use for the times the truck was in for service. We've had the two recalls that most people dealt with, one post delivery punch list item appointment, two tire rotations. All of those have gone smoothly with generally good communication. Most recently, we just had the truck in for two weeks to replace the onboard charging system since a part of the pin from our Rivian charger broken off in the charging port. Rivian also sent out a new wall charger. and would have covered the replacement/install for that as well through their partner installer.

All that said, we have a family member in Texas, about 2 hours away from the Dallas service center, and they've definitely had some struggles since they took delivery of their R1S. I don't know the details but communication has been poor and items that were supposed to be addressed have not been.

I'd agree with the intent of the original post that for every 1 complaint here, there are 10 or 20 or 100 very happy people that are too busy enjoying their truck to post about it!

Yeah, like most, I have my problems, luckily my Rivian isn't one of them!

I am the happy owner of a 2022 R1T with just over 20,000 miles on it. Yes, I have read about everybody's issues, but I have been trouble free with my Rivian VIN xxx004911!

Seems like most threads are about some issue. Let's also hear from those who've had no or little issues so far. I am one of them.

There is something to be said about controlling 835 hp with my right foot!

Love my Rivian!
I've had mine for just over a month now and have driven it all over the Central Coast. No problems at all. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

I have about 18K miles on my R1T (VIN in the 8K range). No serious problems to report. Only service center visits were to address recall issues (which I think was more about validating rather than changing anything). One Mobile visit to replace a cargo cross bar. One outstanding issue is with the Rivian wall charger (this is the charger, not the vehicle).
Lots of niggling early issues have been resolved with software updates automatically.
Absolutely happy with my purchase.

One year this week. 12k miles. Perfect. Greatest machine I’ve ever driven. Manual tonneau cover arrived last month, very nice.

Just chiming in to bump up the count of people that have had little to no issues. 1.5 years in and 18k miles and I still love it!
