The Denver shop just added about eight new trucks this afternoon

Dang, I'd just looked recently and only the one at that point, so they just added them. There's a blue with stuff I'd take including RUS and a spare, but it's on 21s and not 20s. Boo.

Most the spares and underbodies I’ve seen in the shop are on 21’s and 22’s. Surprised so few on 20s.

Seriously...makes no sense to get RUS without 20s. Part of me wants to nab this one and then just buy 20s, but I also kinda want my FG/FE truck. Trying not to fold.

Yep lol. We would've been button pushing racing for sure. On Dark 20s and I would've done it. I really should've taken that Canyon Red 3 days ago....... Feck... Underbody, OC, and Dark 20s. Rookie mistake.

I am curious if the number of R1Ts has any deeper meaning?

For example, has Rivian run out of pre-orders that are not near a service center so they are just shipping large batches and waiting for anyone to grab them?

Or - more likely - has Rivian decided matching R1Ts with pre-orders is too hard so they just are dumping trucks in the R1 shop and clearing out the reservations that way? Based on past number, it'd seem there are still 20,000 plus R1T pre-orders unmatched so it seems to me they are taking a new path to distribution and choosing not to match even when they could. In other words, they are not only producing large batches of the same option, they are then shipping large batches to various Service Centers to simplify logistics.

Probably good for costs but really sucks for those waiting on a match and really does not bode well for all of us R1S reservation holders waiting and waiting.

This is all related to batching. They've been building not-to-spec since last June then dumping in the Shop. It's easiest software wise, and better optics than auto-matching to someone who may have just ordered a month ago.

When I had Shop access from June-August last year there were routinely 20 vehicles per weekly drop. And that was after only ~1000 total had been delivered!
