I was specifically referring to shutting down on the highway, which is a specific item you pointed out. There is not a post every week regarding shutting down on the highway, lol.
Rivian tries to spread the love around.

Highways don't get all the Rivian bacon.

Mine hasn't shutdown ever.

It just enjoys tocking to me.

Issues are still an outlier rather than the norm. There's crashes every so often with Tesla autopilot/FSD at the helm and I don't see any big issue being made there either.

In the Los Angeles area code, I’m seeing a gradual increase in DM large (although most has some additional options that bring them closer to 90k), whereas when they opened shop to public about 2 weeks ago, you couldn’t find a single DM

I think the reality, for me anyway that wants to buy another quarter million mile vehicle, is just to chill. We need the functional 3rd row (sorry model Y), we need the price point (subjective, I know), and we need something reliable.
Toyota will get there - eventually. I would be first in line for an EV GX550 - they could bury me in it.

Fwiw, It seems you can lease your pre-order through the shop now, where previously it was only available for new orders

Not sure about that. For my post price hike reservation, I can now see leasing as an option in the payment estimator for shop vehicles. Last week it was loan only. Have not confirmed with my guide

All demand is slowing down for Rivian, it's why they pushed leasing and it's also why they are advertising heavily now. I suspect it's also why they're unveiling the R2 so early, many suspected late this year or early next year. Rivian is burning cash and needs to get things moving quickly to survive long term.

All demand is slowing down for Rivian, it's why they pushed leasing and it's also why they are advertising heavily now. I suspect it's also why they're unveiling the R2 so early, many suspected late this year or early next year. Rivian is burning cash and needs to get things moving quickly to survive long term.

Wow I didn't realized that they had started advertising.

I glimpsed an $84k (dual motor/large) R1S in the Bay Area for a hot second but it was gone the next day.

The general lack of cheaper configs like that in the shop suggests to me that demand is still pretty healthy which is good.

Ironically I think they will have a harder time with selling the R2 than the R1....that $40-$60k segment of the market seems extremely competitive to me.

Economy is getting tougher. I've noticed clients are having a much harder time coming up with fees since inflation is catching up to them. Budgets are tighter.

Same in the LA area code, one 84k guy popped out and gone in a day, but a few 89k variations have been sitting for a week now. Considering they opened shop to public and leasing both fairly recently, I feel like it’s only a matter of time before these start piling up.

The lowest for each color combo are the ones that seem like they have a definite wait. Doesn’t seem like they’re sitting to too much at the middle range either

Seems like R1S inventory went from 120 to 240 overnight in the bay area, and R1T went from 500 to 800....

Anyone else seeing something similar?

I wonder if it might be a glitch as its such a large change.
