I am using the "easy entry" or whatever setting that drops the seat and raises the steering wheel when you park the vehicle, and then obviously adjusts things back to your settings when you get back in.

I've noticed over the last few weeks that there has developed some... creaking sounds - not sure how to describe, I might be able to get a video of it later after work - when the steering wheel moves into place. And then also some squeaking/creaking noises just turning the wheel itself. Wasn't there at pickup, has slowly developed over time. There's no additional friction feeling or anything when turning, it's just the noise. I guess I'm curious if anyone else has experienced it and if it's an easy DIY fix (lube/grease some components?) or I should open a service ticket for it - it doesn't feel serious enough of an issue to me to open a ticket, but I could lump it in with something more serious (should something more serious occur) but ideally I'd like to just go DIY route if possible.

Thanks!

I've had the same issue from day of pick-up (Nov 2022). I'll have it taken care of at my forthcoming first service appt

Yeah, it's definitely not an urgent issue but if I need to go in for something else I'll have them take a look at it. Just hoping to find out if someone figured out what to lube or whatever to get rid of it

I have had “creaking” in the steering wheel while turning it during normal driving since day one. Anyone know what is causing this? I’ve come to ignore it, but it is annoying my wife.

Caused by too low music volume

The rubber seal around the steering column squeaked during easy entry/exit adjustment for a few months then just stopped. I wonder if it has to do with humidity since it may have stopped around the same time the rain did here in the PNW. Will be curious to see if it returns with the rain.
No squeaks while turning though.

I had a service rep tell me maybe not a good idea to use the easy entry feature, didn’t explain why or go into detail about it. I’m assuming it’s putting some pressure on the suspension components. I stopped using it and looking to get some steps.

I'm not using kneel mode, much to the dismay of certain people who struggle to climb in. Just the driver seat and steering wheel position adjustments on entry/exit

I had a similar issue using easy entry when the steering would retract or come out.
It even prevented the steering wheel to go high enough for me to be able to see most of the “instrument cluster”.
Got fixed by service. Hasn’t come back yet.

Sorry, I keep mixing up kneel and easy entry.

Good to know. Again, it's not urgent now just a nuisance, but at least if they are already getting service items for it from other people, it shouldn't be a huge deal if/when I need to go in

Had the same issue "fixed" by SC. Came back within 48hrs. It now makes a noticeable vibration when steering wheel extends out. I love the car but the build quality is subpar. My multiple Lexus vehicles & 1 Ram were never this problematic. May trade it for a hybrid GX

I'm not using any of that. Ppl riding in my R1 need to be adventurous. I tell ppl to back up a certain amount depending on their height and then do a running jump/dive into the car. Yes, there's complaints but it's working for me.
