Yep - that's definitely not right. Hope they get you in for repair. Hopefully with that video they can diagnose and have the parts on hand to fix it when you bring it in.

I think the service centers try and triage by "severity" of the issue. Since yours is still able to be driven, I think 6 weeks is somewhat reasonable. Hopefully the handle still works until then!

Yeah, I’m okay with 6 weeks with the holidays. Just wanted to let people know, it’ll be a bit before I have any sort of answer (I hope!)
Biggest worry is that I take time off work, drive an hour each way, just to be told to wait until it really breaks

i have had a similar issue in my R1T. mine didn't delay as much as yours but it opened much slower in the rear than the front door handles. and there was a creaking noise on the drivers side once it did present. Rivian replaced the drivers side read door handle. when i got it back it was fine. the next morning same thing happened so i was perplexed. its been a couple of months now and with the weather turning cold the creaking sound has gone away but it still opens slower in the rear. not a huge deal for me as long as the noise is gone but i'll be monitoring it once the weather warms up again.
