R1T gen 1 fails to lock

I started having my doors not locking every time (both at home and away from home) about 3 weeks ago. I think it is now fixed after I deleted my phone key and re-installed it ( iPhone 16 Pro ). I know this sounds too simple but not sure if everyone tried that potential fix. One interesting item of note is that I had updated my phone's name recently, and the name shown in the Rivian list was still the old name of my phone. I hadn't had issues unlocking with my phone even with the names not matching, but maybe this can cause an issue if you update your phone's name without also deleting it from the Rivian as a key and re-installing it as a key.

Last week the service center requested I clear the Rivian app cache (android) and so far it hasn't failed to lock again (i.e. it has successfully started locking again).

Mine will give me the occasional "Rivian doors are unlocked" message as well. Lo and behold the doors are unlocked. This happens sometimes while out and about and even at home (with proximity unlock off). No rhyme nor reason and I had the SC look at it and they said PAAK is working normally.

I'm not sure when I don't have proximity unlock at home enabled and I'm at home and it'll randomly unlock.

Some days I think that thing has a mind of its own...

I've been having the issue the last few weeks where the vehicle thinks it's locked, it chirps, but the driver door handle was still out and unlocked, ever since it auto downloaded a 2.5gb Driver+ update a few weeks ago. Full reset seems to have fixed it for now, but I didn't realize I was leaving my truck essentially unlocked for weeks.

An update on my side in case others are experiencing this.

Unfortunately I had another incident of the vehicle failing to lock. This was after a full reset including removing all drivers and keys (and reregistering cards and fob at service center), app storage and cache cleared, etc.

Never had an issue before this year (2022-2024), it's new behavior from my truck, so still working to figure out why and to troubleshoot and reproduce. (SC visit scheduled for mid August).

Mine actually did this the other day too, I got in my Bronco and ran out, only to get the "doors are unlocked" message 10 minutes later, seems it unlocked when I got nearby, despite being set to Lock Only at home, and it never re-locked. I do have a service appt in 2 weeks for a list of random things, this being 1 of them. I don't anticipate them being able to fix it, assuming it's a software issue, but we shall see.

Had a lot of random software bugs lately, including the alarm going off, without sound, for 30 seconds, then stopping itself.
