For years, the 4Runner had a bottom mounted wiper and the window still rolled down. It was mounted just under the glass.
Referring to the latest generation, but ok.

I understand. I was just saying that it's possible to do because the 4Runner had it that way for other generations.

Personally, I like the clean look without the rear wiper. But at the same time, a rear wiper can be very useful, so that's something that would make it a good addition. I guess we'll see what Rivian decides to do on the production version of the R2.

I may be old-fashioned, but it would make me feel better if there is also a physical door release. If the power goes out, how would you open the door? I assume that's why Tesla has both.
I would assume there is one, it just may not be immediately obvious. I'm guessing that they did this so they can share the interior door panel with the R3, which has frameless windows and thus "needs" a pushbutton release for the same reason the Model 3 does.

Also, this may have changed, but the manual release in the Model 3 was intended for emergency only and could damage the door seals if used repeatedly.

What do we think of headroom in the R2?
RJ at 6’1 didn’t appear to have much extra in the video…..
