Thanks for posting that, I had no idea you had to buy Electrify Expo tickets to see the R2, $27 total per person.

It is obnoxious and who knows if parking will be extra. They were much better off having it like last time at Nassau Colosseum. Citifield is always surrounded by traffic. Jerks.

There was definitely a parking fee at the Electrify Expo event in Denver.

If you're wanting to see one vehicle, it's not the best event to do that. If you want to see vehicle options from a dozen OEMs, sit in any of the static displays to try them on for size ("how does an R1S feel for someone that is 6'3" and has a 35" inseam?", etc...), test drive several of the vehicles, see a bunch of vehicle accessories (trailers, tents, battery systems, eBikes, EV retrofits) - all in one location, it's a pretty good setup.

Edit: In Denver, all doors/windows on the R2 were closed other than the driver's door, which was open. Railing were set around block closeup inspection of the vehicle. You have seen way more in pictures that have been posted here than I was able to see looking at the R2 in person at the Electrify Expo event in Denver.

For anyone in the Portland area, the dates have shrunk to Sept 12-16th. It is only the R2. Will be held at Bridgeport Village in an outdoor venue. There will be an owners only event Friday the 13th at 9am. RSVP link will be available later. There will be test drive Gen 2 R1's available for those wanting to drive one.

I'm 100% certain there will be a parking fee at Citi Field, probably at least $20. Add that to the $27 admission fee and you're looking at $47 just to get in :(

Have you confirmed where the R2 will be on display next week? (The webpage for the Burnaby Spaces does not have this listed in their events.)
Everything I've been able to find has the R2 on display at the Rivian Service Center at 13551 Commerce Parkway in Richmond (Drive Tesla: https://driveteslacanada.ca/news/ri...a-vancouver-and-toronto-tour-stops-announced/). There's also a report from RivianTrackr (https://riviantrackr.com/news/vanco...ev-lineup-at-everything-electric-canada-2024/) stating that all models of Rivian, including the R2 and R3, will be on display at Everything Electric Canada, Sept. 2-7, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. There's a $32.50 CAD charge for entry at Everything Electric.

I would need to seriously consider not going to the show if R3x is not there as much as I would like to see R2. Is it also worth taking the LIRR to avoid traffic and crappy parking?

Hoping to go up there the afternoon of the 13th and check it out (have an R2 reservation from day-one). Bridgeport isn't too hard to get to for me, so that should be fine. I haven't seen any date changes per their Instagram...where was that posted?

I was informed by the service center of the date change first. The CE team emailed us last week with the info I posted earlier. We are waiting on the owner's appreciation RSVP link to send out a larger formal notice. Hope to have that this week .... (they are soooo last minute with everything.)

Awesome, thanks for the follow-up info! Super excited about the R2 as a potential replacement for my Lightning (I don't do enough "truck stuff" with it, and would like something smaller). :)

Out of curiosity, how does one get informed of when/where these roadshow events are happening? I'm in Oregon and plan on heading up to Portland next weekend to see the R2, but other than the post above indicating its at Bridgeport, I have no idea what the process is. Are reservations needed? What times of the day will they be there? I've looked on their website and don't see anything, even under the "Events" tab on my account. It feels like Rivian should do a better job of publicizing these things, unless I'm just living under a rock and missing all the details.

They posted the original dates/image to their Instagram feed but nowhere else. Agree, they can do a better job…

Sounds like the R2 is missing from the show in the greater Vancouver area. Shame.

Early in 2025, you'll probably see R2 at the every Rivian Spaces.

There are too many cities and not enough prototypes to go around, I'm guessing.

The mis information, and lack of information from Rivian itself, has left a group of annoyed vancouverites.
