Anyone have a pro-tip on keeping camera lens from getting water beads? Especially challenging when wanting to back up and the image is all distorted from the water. My first thought is cleaning with Rain-X. Any other ideas?

I haven't tried Rainex, but generally speaking, this problem is just a fact of life.

Ceramic hydrophobic coating, reapplied every few months.

But during driving, the airflow will keep some water there, so it isn't the most helpful during driving, only when stopped moving. (Which can be the most important time.)

I like to remind my self to wipe the lens next time I stop. Then I remember my reminder next time I get in. Then I remind myself clean the lens next time I stop.
somehow this loop continues.
So true!

It kind of bugged me on the R1S but while mine is in the service center and I'm driving the Wagoneer rental, it's completely unusable in the rain. So, R1S has one over on the Jeep!

Other than what’s been mentioned, Gen 2 R1S comes with front and rear camera washers. ?

I used to think the Volvo's with the headlight wipers looked dumb, but I guess they were on to something.... Living in CA with no real weather besides sun most of the year, I take issues lilke this for granted.
