Rally-Inspired White Wheels on R1S

Sharing a look at my new wheels, which are pretty different from anything else I’ve seen on a Rivian.


I wanted a custom, rally-inspired look, so I created some mockups and worked with Andrew at ORT Motorsport to turn the design into a finished set of forged aluminum wheels. I’m really happy with how they came out.


I know white wheels aren’t for everyone, but personally I love the white-on-white look. If nothing else, they're unique.


The wheels weigh 35 lbs each. Paired with the Toyo Open Country A/T III EV tires in the SL version (45 lbs each), the total is about 80 lbs per corner. Efficiency has been pretty similar to my OEM 22s.

Nice! Also a good design for cleaning. All the nooks and crannies on my darks are a pain to clean properly.

Not similar/dis-similar enough for my liking.

These wheels are sexy.

I created a custom R1S set as well working with Atomic Wheels, and have a twin set for my R2. Once I take delivery in 2027 I will also post a side by side.

Thanks, yeah, while the white isn't a perfect match, I wouldn't describe it as a contrast with cream/sand in person. Curious how others have done paint matching with wheels, but realize it's not that common. In my case, I wasn't given shades of white. Again, though, it's pretty close.

Apparently, the Dune-styled wheels will be available in the future in white - presumably, Glacier White. (Not sure about timing and other colors.)

Rivian hosted a car show at their Irvine headquarters this past weekend. I guess it was mostly employee cars, including Porches (some old ones and Jeff's GT3 RS

), BMWs, rods, etc... Apparently RJ's personal R1T in purple was there, complete with white wheels.
