Just got back from staying at the Wawona, and with the amount of driving necessary to go to Yosemite Valley and Glacier Point, and topping up for the drive home, the Waypoints were really helpful. I won't lie, I felt a bit smug that I could charge for free in multiple spots in the park.

I wonder if they are starting to work on their Astoria OR site. Drove past the site where there were rumors their chargers would be, and I can see some digging going on. Very early stages. Off course, this work could be completely unrelated, especially given that they don’t even have the Astoria site on their “coming soon” map, but hoping it is related to RAN!

That’ll be nice. I just made that trip along I-70 and consciously chose to avoid that stop because of the potential reliability issues on EA chargers. Flagler is the perfect spacing between Oakley and Denver to be able to make super-quick charging stops if desired.

After this is live Wichita to Denver will just need a fast/reliable/cheaper alternative in the Salina area to make travel super easy. Bypass the EA stations and also the slow 50-100 kW stations that charge close to 60 cents per kWh compared to the sub 40 cent price that Rivian & Tesla (with the subscription) charge along this corridor.

Hey I remember that place.
I stopped there at the EA station last year on a cross-country road trip.
IIRC the diner had been shut down and was not operating at the time.

No problems at all with the EA station. I was the only one there. In fact, while I was there a EA service technician pulled up (driving a Ford Lightning BTW), to do some routine maintenance. He charged his Lightning too. I wasn't having any trouble at all charging at full speed. He asked a lot of questions about my R1T.

Hi folks -

New owner. Just used the new Freeport RAN on my work trip from Downeast Maine to Boston this week and it was great.

I see on the “planned” map on the website that there’s at least 3-4 more in Maine. Any idea when more might happen in Maine/Quebec/Vermont?
