FWIW I don't think the cutout is as bad as the posts here are making it seem but they aren't my favorite for sure.

I got them for $450 shipped last week. Couldn’t beat the price. I also am not a huge fan of the lettering but for damn near 50% off all the competitors I was willing to live with it

$450 is so cheap - yeah, I’d do that and then just cover the whole top with skateboard grip tape for extra traction. Speaking of, how is the traction on it? Have you gotten any wet weather to test to see if you slip?

Are the R1S boards without the cutouts? How do these compare with the other brands? I read somewhere the clearance was impacted.
