R1t qm. I find myself allergic to California. It's a crap-shoot getting through @ 65mph average VS 25. Plus, I'd like to have Vegas as an option to overnight since 17:27 barring a single hiccup isn't something I'm willing to put myself through let alone my girl who is still on the fence about this whole "EV thing."
Our governor put together the NV electric highway deal, had a small number of DC chargers installed then abandoned them. 1 short of enough for most EVs to get between Reno and Vegas and notice I didn't use the dcfc term.
So it's Reno to Vegas that is the real problem

Vegas to PHX is easy and PHX to Tucson should be also

I've been told Reno - Bishop - Vegas is possible. I'll find out next month. Hopefully, it will work both ways.

Reno->Vegas if staying entire in Nevada is doable, but sketchy. The charging infrastructure along 95 simply doesn’t exist in quantity or quality.

If you’re willing to go 395 via Bishop, it’s much more doable and much less sketchy, but that last stretch Bishop->Vegas is >250 miles without a reliable charger along the way. Need to keep an eye on speed and your right foot. It’s a net elevation loss, which helps.

I would go through SoCal (80 --> 5 --> 210 --> 57 --> 10). There are a ton of chargers on the way. Sacramento has a RAN, Manteca has a RAN, Santa Nella, Buttonwillow does as well.

I went to Plug-Share and entered Reno to Tucson and got this. You obviously need to add about an extra 2 hours I would think to be safe.

When we went that way in September, Santa Nella, Firebaugh and Buttonwillow hadn’t opened yet.
Good to know

Another happy 395 user here, Portland to Tucson - while towing a trailer - passing by Reno getting to 395. It's a great route with plenty of charging.
