Well, unless it had issues charging like the camp speaker does. In that case, you’d want it to “bing” so you’d know that you have a useless cuboid instead of an aircraft landing light.I ordered this because the camp speaker is NOT brilliantly designed. Being well designed would mean that it was out of sight and out of mind. It's not because even when its disabled it will make that bing sound occasionally. The kind that was solved initially by resetting it, and them seemed like it was solved by disabling it.
There doesn't seem to be a way of completely shutting it up so I've been waiting for a suitable replacement, and this product seems to be that.
The only thing that would be better than lockable space would be rechargable MEGA flashlight.
I imagine one could make a pretty incredibly powerful portable light with that much space. It also wouldn't have a speaker so no dreadful bing sound.
Hopefully some owner who doesn't have camp speaker will shell out some cash for Mr. Bing.
Only if they can prove the drawer was the cause. I think that would be hard considering there are cases of failed latches already and the moving pieces are part of the vehicle, not the accessories. We've seen people experience stuck camp speakers. This being an aftermarket accessory, if it gets stuck... Rivian is likely going to charge you to fix it out-of-warranty.
And meanwhile you have a drawer you can't access while you argue back and forth with Rivian on who's fault it is. Yes, I know Magnuson-Moss. Have pointed many Rivian owners and enthusiasts to it. However, reality is there is what the law says and the process required to get manufacturer to go along. No OEM is going to just roll over and ask for a belly rub.Only if they can prove the drawer was the cause. I think that would be hard considering there are cases of failed latches already and the moving pieces are part of the vehicle, not the accessories.
I'm afraid not.@BestEvMod(AOSK) … is this compatible when your lower console tray is installed?

Can the drawer be opened and removed without removing the tray? I already purchased the tray and wanted to confirm. Thanks!
