Jorge, if you’re reading this, you rock! Dude’s been super responsive and it genuinely feels like he’s trying his best for his customers. If I get my car before end of year, whiskey on me. If not, then PBR.

Cheers, man.

In my opinion and experience the guides are just a fancily named salesman. They do nothing different than a competent salesman at a typical dealership. I had no issues with mine but it was no different than any salesman interaction in the past.

Mine was "fine". It typically took a couple days and as many texts to ever get a response. Was never able to reach my guide on the phone, always went to voicemail. I don't think I ever got an email response either. Only texts.

Kareem is an incredible guide. I got my confirm config email in the evening and I texted him the next morning asking to schedule a call. He was available right then and we spoke at length about the process and some of my reservations about confirming, entirely about the powered tonneau fiasco. We texted back and forth over the next few days about getting access to the shop and then spoke on the phone again where I expressed my frustration with Rivian, etc etc. It was always professional and courteous and he was understanding and I trust everything he said to me. A few days later I checked in on getting shop access. He called me and read off every truck with a powered tonneau in the shops— which I still didn’t have access to- including a FG in Normal. I immediately locked it in and waited about a day for the vin to get matched. He sent me an 8am text saying he had good news that the vin was matched 8 steps started— I had already seen the email at 6am lol but it meant a lot that he followed up like that.

Then through the steps I was going to buy the truck through my LLC but ultimately had to switch everything around, and he did that quickly.

After that we texted a bit about weekend plans because I told him I didn’t want to stop texting lol.

Now that I wait for the truck to come from Normal I’ve texted him on Monday and today checking on the status. He said he’s keeping an eye on the status and will let me know when it arrives. I trust and value his effort and he’s truly made this a great experience. Even though the truck wasn’t my final config it actually is my day one config, and I got the two deal breakers— FG exterior and a powered tonneau.

Yes, Rivian isn’t good at transparency, or thorough in their product testing apparently, but I’d say the guide process is awesome, assuming you get a good one. And it’s Rivian’s job to make sure all their guides are set up to be as good as Kareem has been.

I’ve had two different guides over the year, and both have been incredibly “meh”. Good for you folks that had guides that looked out for you, went to bat for you, sent you free swag, etc, but that was far from my experience. Sometimes I’d go days without a response to a simple, reasonable question. I switched guides after hearing about how others’ guides were being extremely responsive and helpful, and my new guide might actually be worse than my old guide. All this while spending over $170k on two Rivians (although the T is going back now). This inconsistency in the experience is not a good sign.

Yeah, this is much closer to my experience with our guide, also buying two vehicles. 2-3 day response time to simple questions. Never able to provide any information beyond what I could find myself online. Never reaching out proactively to discuss status or timing or configuration. I’m actually jealous of the positive experiences that I’m seeing here.

Edit to Add: I guess my only solace here is that I have not seen my guide mentioned as an 'all-star' by anyone. So I guess it's not just me: he really must be mediocre, at best.

Big ups to my guide Wendy! Always willing to chat, responded to text after hours, super helpful.

Huge shout out to Loren! I sent her some cookies! I know they are busting butts up there this month. When she actually CALLED ME I was blown away. I have been with Tesla for 6 years, and their service has gotten so miserable. I gotta say that I realllllly hope Rivian can maintain this level of service. Its really rare these days.

I have Chimere now, my previous guide just disappeared. How did Chimere excel?
Quick responses, friendly demeanor, if she didn’t know the answer she was able to find out.

Ok that is great to know because my precious guide was OK but not the most responsive.

Agree with responsiveness. My problem with Chimere was that she gave me bad information on more than one occasion. Not a big deal, but just calling it as I see it.
