Rivian NACS Adapters begin arriving!

I don't think if anybody knows if they were tied somehow to the Tesla supercharger team being laid off. Could be they were responsible for handling PO's from other OEMs, or other things.

I missed it if it was posted though, did anybody confirm that these were indeed being made for/distributed by Tesla or was each OEM going through an approved vendor or something?

They are made by Tesla, then distributed to Ford and Rivian in batches for distribution to their respective customers.

Yes, and that was almost 3 weeks ago. Since then nothing new.

And “Shipments will start in April” is the last “promise” Rivian has made. Don’t think they’ve commented on the next batch or when they think they’ll complete the full shipment.

Data point from Rivian Chat a few minutes ago when asking about when I can expect my NACS adaptor:

" Sure thing, so we don't have a list provided so I'd be unable to check that. But I do know that we're aiming to get all the adapters sent out to our owners by the end of this quater (June). You'll be notified once your adapter has been sent out. "

Who knows if they will be able to do so given supply chain constraints, but if that's the goal, that's good news.

Hmmm. I'm going to assume there are some not so obvious details there since I have an R1S with VIN in the 3000s and haven't even been asked to confirm my address yet (but did complete the opt-in).
