So having had the R1S for a couple of weeks, some basic suggestions for Rivian:
1) Add in location activated camera's, so when I drive into my garage going forward, it can automatically active the camera once it knows I'm home
2) Blind spot camera, so when I turn on my blinker, side camera should come on
3) Activate garage door opening based on location, so when I'm home garage should automatically open
4) This would be a big change so doubt it's resonable, but I'd prefer the autosteering to have a softer assist so that if I correct the steering it will continue with autosteer, other cars like hyundai palisade work like this. Currently, if you take over the steering to correct it, it's not only very harsh when you take over, but it doesn't automatically reactive. So even if I switch lanes, it should reactive automatically
5) Accelerate faster when autocruise is activated, takes too long to get up to speed
6) Text messages have got to blow into the display, very unsafe having to look at texts and a huge step back
7) Add some more music and podcast streaming built in
8) Remove the heated back side windows, seems like an extra cost for now reason, as a shareholder keep costs down with minimal impact on the experience
9) We don't need 8 lower anchorage guides, no one uses 4 car seats other than octomom
10) The turn signal nice sound but needs to be louder, can't hear it's on when music is on
11) Bluetooth should autoresume, so if I started a podcast got out, it should restart the same podcast where I left off automatically
12) Can you connect the microphone to the speakers? So that I have an option for "passenger talk", so that the front microphone will pickup the drivers voice and play it in the rear of the car

That's all I can think of for now

Is this confirmed? I heard from someone that it's the radio antenna and from another that it is a heating element.

We need them. 2 Boosters and 2 car seats. What is gained by removing them?

Careful. The last complainer lost his truck to Kyle Connor.

Or just don't read texts while you're driving like people did for 100 years before texting was a thing.

Big pet peeve of mine. Nothing in my life is so effing important that I need to endanger everyone around me by paying attention to a text while trying to drive, even if it's on the vehicle's screens or being read to me. You're simply not that important. Period.

Good point I didn’t confirm it

We need them. 2 Boosters and 2 car seats. What is gained by removing them? A little bit of plastic waste saved and tiny money? But yeah not really a big deal, just my observation.

Text messages are important to many people. Not gonna argue the point, but there is clear benefit to optimizing how text messages are presented.

Such a weird take, texting is a thing and people do it over talking on the phone. I'm not condoning texting and driving via looking at your phone, but there's no excuse for not having it in the truck. Having a text read out to me and me responding to it all via voice is no different than talking on the phone. If that's your viewpoint, then you should also be advocating for not having bluetooth since that falls under the same "not paying attention" view for people talking on the phone while driving.

Not complaining just observations and suggestions. I have a second R1S coming in 2023 that I cannot wait to get, so yeah I do think it is the greatest SUV IMO on Earth.

Even if you use only one carseat, having multiple locations lets YOU decide where you want to use the car seat. Rivian should not decide that for you by limiting the number of locations.

Text messages? How 1990s of you. Who the heck uses text messages any more. Where are the integrated chat programs with heads up display so that I can read them through the windshield and reply with voice commands.

*only slight exaggeration* But seriously, text messages....... *to quote the genz - gross*
