Scraping noise from front left wheel

2023 R1S - driver 12000 miles

We started noticing vibrations and scraping noise from front left wheel when vehicles is turning left and moving. Issue is prominent at low speeds when I turn the wheel completely to the left.

Noticed this issue first time after latest software upgrade 2024.51.01. tried vehicle reset but didn't help so not sure if it is related.

Attaching video where you will notice the scraping noise at the end. Called service center and it seems I will have to wait for another 20 days before Rivian can get it checked.

Any help on what this can be and whether I should continue driving it is appreciated.

Check for backed out bolts in the hub?

Yes I checked that already and all 4 bolts are in place.

To me, it sounds like a rock stuck in the caliper or heat shield.

Probably this ^^ If you can't find it I have a couple parking lots with good speed-bumps that loosen that stuff up. Just need a good suspension flex going over on a diagonal and it loosens stuff mine collects on the gravel road I drive on.

Something similar happens from time to us - perks of living on dirt roads.
Usually backing up and hitting the brakes, going forward and hitting the brakes, lather rinse repeat a couple times will do the trick. What other folks said are also good options.
If that doesn't work and you are able; getting that wheel in the air, removing it and then poking around the brake pads and heat shield may yield the culprit.
Also check that the inside of the wheel is relatively clean. Mud/ice can stick in there and cause both grinding and a shimmy.

Updating thread. Finally issue got resolved. Attaching details of service. Rivian fixed it as part of warranty no charges. So it was not a rock or dirt.

Cause: The hub bolts back out and damaged the rotor.

Correction: Replaced
the new rotor, caliper and re-torqued all the hub bolts at 135nm. Drove test vehicle after that
and now the operation of the vehicle is normal.

Correction/Remedy:
- Fluid, Brake, Bleed, 4 Calipers
- Rotor, Brake, Front, LH (Remove and Reinstall)
- Caliper, Brake, Front, LH (Remove and Replace)
- Brake Pad Set, Front (Remove and Replace)
- Hub, Front, LH (Remove and Replace)
- Noise Vibration and Harshness General Diagnostic
