That is high praise. I am eager to try it for myself. Although, given the severely limited adjustment options provided by Rivian, I don't see how they could possibly match Volvo. From what I've read, they are simply sourcing seats from Hyundai.Reminded me of my 2018 Xc60.
Seats were great in my brief test drive. Can anyone with a Rivian comment on seat comfort?
Its not like they’re using the seats from a Hyundai model, a division of Hyundai which makes seats for OEMs is supplying their seats. From what I've read, they are simply sourcing seats from Hyundai.
I didn't notice a significant difference in adjustability, at least for what I was doing to move the seat around. Didn't try to adjust the lumbar. However, my spouse though it reminded her of it as well, and the 60 is her daily driver. That is high praise. I am eager to try it for myself. My mobile drive transitioned my pre-emptive Reservation for her from the "that's silly, i don't want the same brand as you" death to her talking about "how will my R1S fit in he garage?" Cant decide whether to pat myself in the back for getting a second reservation last spring, or cry for our bank account. My wife rode in the back for our F150 Lightning "test drive" and for the Rivian First Mile test drive. The Rivian was vastly superior. Enough so that she doesn't want us to get the Lightning.
This times 1000. So proud I finally got her on board with a R1S but how the heck am I going to afford another R1 after my T.My mobile drive transitioned my pre-emptive Reservation for her from the "that's silly, i don't want the same brand as you" death to her talking about "how will my R1S fit in he garage?" It’s only money, the bank has lots! This times 1000. So proud I finally got her on board with a R1S but how the heck am I going to afford another R1 after my T.
not sure about the R-Design, but my Inscription has adjustable thigh support and side bolsters. It also has 4-way lumbar, but I think the Rivian Adventure trim includes that, at least.I didn't notice a significant difference in adjustability, at least for what I was doing to move the seat around. We have an r design, and not an inscription trim for what it's worth. So our seats may not be the ones you're thinking of.
Yeah, mind does not hand adjustable thigh or side bolsters.not sure about the R-Design, but my Inscription has adjustable thigh support and side bolsters. It also has 4-way lumbar, but I think the Rivian Adventure trim includes that, at least.
I have a '15 R-Design XC60 with the Polestar chip (I'm not sure if that's standard). While there is an adjustment knob for lumbar on the Driver's seat only, there is no thigh or side bolster adjustability. Luckily, the seats are perfect for me. They must have been designed by an orthopedic specialist/car-nut.Yeah, mind does not hand adjustable thigh or side bolsters.
