My experience with the Sacramento SC, so far, is what will turn people off of Rivian! They have had my R1T 3 times and have fixed 1 issue (noise from the steering wheel). They broke the front panel that runs under the headlights, replaced it but didn't secure the tabs! So, now the mobile service has to come to work on it! The "mechanics" blasted my radio-it was blaring when I turned it on! The right side gear tunnel door doesn't line up and they have weaseled their way out of replacing it! They never fixed my roomy entry/exit issue either! After the last appointment I have a rattle in the driver side seat belt that I didn't have before! I'm weary of taking it to them for the routine service now!
For what they want people to pay for their vehicles, they need to do better!

Does anyone else think that $80 for the initial service visit is ridiculous? That does not include the tire rotation, which is an additional $60. When asked what the do for the initial inspection they were pretty vague.

top off fluids (washer fluid and verify for any seeps or leaks), check wiper blades, replace air filters for HVAC as well as check break pads and other common wear areas for anything out of place. The tech will also notify you if your tires are wearing oddly if they find anything abnormal and will suggest any additional work for follow up after your appointment, and time frames for the suggested work to be completed.”

I've had a mixed experience with the Sacramento service center. They were able to address a few issues that I had at delivery but created some problems while fixing others. Mobile service has been fine but they weren't able to fix the issue that they sent mobile service to address. Now I have to take it back to the service center and the wait for an appointment is.... three and a half months. No joke, I made my appointment yesterday and it's scheduled for MID NOVEMBER. The problems I'm having aren't critical but I don't have any reason to think I'd get in faster with something more serious. The mobile service tech says they're planning on opening a center in Rocklin but who knows when that will ever happen. Months ago, they told me they were working to reduce service wait times but the problem has only gotten worse.

I couldn't possibly recommend a Rivian to a friend here when it takes over three months to get your vehicle serviced. I was thinking of buying an R1S to replace our Model X but the service wait is a deal breaker for me. That and Carplay ;) Looks like we're getting an iX. We'll just have to shut our eyes before getting in it.

Dropped my R1T off at Chelsea (Boston) this morning for 15k service and tire rotation, plus have them look at a few niggles like bolts falling out of the underbody shield. They said it would be about 8 hours of work (which seemed like a lot) but then hit me with "We'll need to keep it 7-10 days because we're backed up" which REALLY seemed like a lot.

I wish they had some sort of virtual queue where you could commit to being able to bring it in on one day's notice or something, but otherwise get to keep it until they are really ready to work on it.

They need to develop a virtual queue system for the shake of saving Rivian's car rental money !!! is it even possible with only one service center in big cities?

I am in the same situation, out of Blauvelt SC; brand new location, and already backed up. Car was in the parking lot for a week before they were able to look at it, and now it's sitting there again waiting for a new drive unit. I am sure it is difficult to manage a service center, but if there was a way to let customers know that they are backed up, then we can make the decision of if we want to drop the car off later. Not a good feeling to know that this is probably at least a 3 week stay at the SC.

Rivian desperately needs to outsource a significant chunk of this work. They need to take all of the routine junk they should not be doing (tires, windshields, alignments, etc.) and partner up with Firestone or someone similar. I was shocked to see how much simple stuff is cluttering the service center here in Houston.
