I don't love where it is hot like the others so can't comment on compressor. Mine seems normal.
I have noticed it likes to keep interior fan running a bit higher fan speed than before. Probably trying to improve that reaction time they speak of, but it is a little annoying when I know cabin is at set point.

So update is ready to go in my truck, but I hesitate to install due to the loud compressor issues some are having. Is there a noticeable change in compressor behavior that is irritating, or is this just "within spec" now?
I'd definitely tolerate a louder start to cool the cabin off quicker. Some days it's a solid 5 minutes before it hits the temperature setting and it's not even that hot here.

I never use the auto function....just fan speed 3 and recirculate...so maybe it won't be an issue for me.

Likely won't be. But I also found the indicator to not be fully truthful. On auto it says it is at slowest speed, but when I switch to manual, slowest.....it slows down....

Still waiting on the OTA here. Got the last one within a few hours of release, this one is dragging (tried leaving truck overnight without Wi-Fi on, and tried again with Wi-Fi on overnight -- no push). Sort of odd this one is slower than the others.

Same here. I usually see mine pretty quick. They must of did the old Uno Reverse card on this rollout, cause I haven't seen anything yet.

Installed the new software last week & reporting back my experience like others after living with it in some extreme heat for the holiday weekend.

Definitely getting much more / louder compressor noises (previously had less on older software versions in basically the same ambient conditions), but cabin does seem to be cooling more quickly on startup so suspect the louder noise means it's working to cool the cabin more quickly.

No noticeable drop in efficiency while driving with the "louder" compressor noise running, so seems like we're getting louder noise but similar operating efficiency while running so should be a (minor) net efficiency gain with the quicker cooling. Hopefully they will continue to refine this to strike the best balance possible.

Haven't noticed any real changes in Diver+ with the driver monitoring cam disabled so that's a positive. Speaker / tweeter crackle with 3D audio setting up is still present so no change there.

Don't see anything in the release notes about PaaK improvements so may just be coincidence, but PaaK does seem to be working much better / quickly on the newest update (using an iPhone 13 Pro for reference).

Not in my experience. I do feel the cab cool down quicker, but that energy doesn’t come for free - it has to come from somewhere and that somewhere is your battery. I’m seeing a dive bomb in initial efficiency - possibly I’m confused by the new black color for negative efficiency effects, but the quicker cool down has to have an efficiency penalty.

I just picked up my R1S today, and the firmware is at 18. How long does it typically take for firmware to be pushed to the vehicle? Can I also message customer service to flag my vehicle to push the firmware?

It is random, make sure to connect to WiFi at home, seems to help get it sooner.

Thanks. I did that. I’ll wait a week before reaching out to CS

I picked my S up last Friday and just got update pushed to me yesterday (after my 2k mile road trip). I have heard that if you have an outdated version of the phone app, that can delay delivery/push of the update.

I just finished my update and it’s great to have a slightly better route planner but from what I see there remains no way to add a waypoint, and maybe more importantly, offers no option for choosing round trip planning. Not really helpful for me to arrive somewhere without a charger, 60 miles of charge, and being 80 miles from a fast charger as we head home. Anyone find ways to do these things?

EDIT: It does offer state of charge at arrival, so technically you can plan for return trip.
