Since I upgraded to 2023.42.0, the audio volume has gone down several notches. I used to listen at 12 and occasionally bump it up to 15 if it’s a good song with base. Now I have to turn the volume to 20 to get somewhere close to what I was getting at 12. Has anyone else seen this? I tried a reset, but that has not worked.

My audio volume has been inconsistent since a few updates ago. For the most part I have to go to 15, but occasionally I can’t go past 10. This is with the same albums/songs.

In my wife’s S, we can’t even go past 4 if we want to have a conversation!

I've found it also depends on the source. Spotify has the lowest volume level of all sources for me. Tidal is louder, then Amazon, and for the best punch, I ask Alexa to plays songs on Tidal. For some reason, this gives me the best quality and overall volume, even compared to native Tidal.

As a data point...mine seems completely normal. Early Meridian system.

I have also found the volume differs markedly between sources. Alexa sounds the best for me as well. Playing lossless Apple Music from my phone sounds very muted in comparison and I need the volume at about 12 compared to 2 on Alexa Amazon music.

now that you mention it, the volume is lower on my music. I usually listen to Iron Maiden, Priest, and Anthem at about 25 in the past (don't judge me.....LOL). Now I have to take it to 30 to get that same PUNCH in the face.

Rivian system. Haven’t noticed any difference, Spotify or otherwise. Even if it is a little quieter it’s just not a pain point as there is plenty of adjustment range left and long before you have to amplify it to the point where you get the inevitable distortion.

MIne is the same way. I would listen at volume 8 on the freeway and now I have to listen at 15 - 18. I thought i was going deaf. After the update I also lost sound from all the headliner speakers. A hard rest fixed that but not the volume issue

I was having the same issue. Then I got a “adaptive cruise is not available until serviced” warning. Did a car reboot to fix that issue (hold left button and hazard light for a few seconds) and both problems seem resolved. Others having the problem might try a reboot.

I have the same issue. Used to listen at 15-17 for great high volume rocking but now 15-17 is the bare minimum to hear anything at highway speeds.

I have a Meridian system and will try the reboot to see if that helps any.

After updating to 42.1 yesterday, all of my music settings (including EQ and fade) we're reset to factory settings. Double check and make sure all of your settings are what you expect.
