My, month old, R1S is in the service center for water in the spare tire well. Other owners may want to check the compartment after being in the rain.
I opted not to get the spare tire, and have been using the compartment for seldom used storage items, like my trailer hitch and charging cables. When I opened up the compartment I found everything damp or wet. Rivian quickly got me into a new service center in Auburn, WA. They ran a water test and found not one, but four areas of water infiltration. While I am glad they are being thorough and fixing the problem(s), it is also a bit disconcerting there could be multiple areas of concern right out of the factory.

I did a factory tour and they have a spray booth setup at the end of the line to check for leaks, surprised your leaks were not found, I wonder if somehow that station was missed for your vehicle.

I live in SoCal, we do not get much rain but I take mine to a touch less car was frequently and have no leaks, just had the spare tire installed and that area was dry.

Glad your R1 is not having the same problem. I don't think it is that common of an issue, but since it is in an area that doesn't get used or looked at very often I thought people should be made aware. A leak not be found would lead to mold.
