Not sure taking up two stalls for 5 minutes while struggling to get a Tesla to J1772 adapter to work on a Tesla SC is the right thing. The Tesla owner also didn’t do the right thing and instead of yelling he could have politely pointed out the idiotic and potentially dangerous situation the Rivian owner put himself in.
Agree on your point. I was referring to the reaction and deescalation.

That sign does not say “Tesla Vehicle Charging Only”

It says
“TESLA” (the logo)
Then there is a definite gap before the words
“Vehicle Charging Only”

Therefore ok to park there if authorized/enabled to charge at a Tesla charging site and actually charging your vehicle.
That gap will definitely fit my RIVIOT stickers ?

Use this sticker in California. No one can argue since it would be illegal to discriminate based on what it identifies itself as.

Honestly, no issues so far at any supercharger. I’m sure someone will be a baby at some point. I’m just doing my best to be courteous and mindful of others and educating them. If that plan fails, I’ll let you know!?

I wouldn’t automatically assume “bought it on Amazon” implies he actually had a J1772 adapter.

It’s equally likely he had the correct adapter and “bought it on the internet” got turned into “Amazon” when translated into a pseudo rage-bait style blog post.

This isn’t exactly a reporting format known for accuracy and attention to detail.

I tow trailers a lot with both the Teslas and the Rivian. Most EV charging locations are not equipped for this configuration, which has contributed to the police being called on me three times now in the last 18 months.

Admittedly, my limited social skills probably have not helped in some of these situations.

An earlier post made a joke about a safe space, but that was literally the complaint at one of the incidents. Some snowflake in his junker model 3 literally filed a complaint with the police that my presence at "his" charging station was causing him anxiety and making him feel unsafe.

Admittedly, I don't look like most Tesla drivers. Regardless, what a goofy complaint.

The officer that responded to the scene and I had a pretty good laugh about the incident, which angered snowflake even more.

He left.

With such a low ownership rate of EVs, I foresee anarchy by 2050

LOL right. Honestly, I'm not sure who looks worse, the Tesla owner freaking out about a Rivian charging at a Tesla SC or someone using a J1772 adapter at a Tesla SC who then shares the story online and the fact that they don't know what the F they are doing.
I also wondered if they might have gone to a v2 station
