Thank you! I will cross-post over to that thread. It's got more Rivian owners having issues. Right now, it seems like "luck of the draw" if the TUWC will work with Rivian or not.

Yeah, we've got multiple folks stating it works and multiple folks stating it doesn't work. Some folks even had it start working for a week then fail. Check the Tesla Motors thread.

At this point, I would NOT recommend the TUWC until they can sort this out.

Wonder what is different with your setup? Can you share any details? Your Rivian is on latest firmware? TUWC fully updated to latest firmware? What size circuit? What about your wall connector setup? Using compatibility mode?

2. Load Center for 2 double pole breakers
3. 60A Breaker to inside WC 3rd gen
4. 60A GFCI to outside TUWC, Cu 6AWG in EMT
5. Both WCs with firmware updated
6. Inside WC (4 years old) acting as load sharing controller.

No compatibility mode
No permissions or restrictions on any WC

I use both interchangeably on 2021 MY and R1S, if needing to plug the R1S to the older WC I use a lectron adapter.
Preordered the TUWC the day it got announced and installed a week after I got it.

Update on my side, TeslaTap arrived, hooked it up, and it started charging immediately.

So based on this it seems like your charger is not set properly for non-Tesla.

The Trsla tap is handling the communication, the dual charger has a pass through adapter and the charger handles the communication.

I would make sure the dual charger is not set for Tesla only. That seems to be the issue, if it is set to both, try changing it to Tesla only and back to both and see if it corrects itself.

I’ve had mine installed for 10 days and not a single issue with my R1S. I get 11.5KW and 22mile/hr of charging. Has worked flawlessly but hopefully I don’t have issues.

This. Sometimes the “default” shown setting isn’t really what the config is. Set it to something else, save, set it back, save, and you could see a change in behavior

Same here. Went through every setting. Rebooted the wall charger, the R1S, went through Tesla Pro settings, everything now multiple times. The wall charger remains in standby mode and when it plugs in the R1S charge port light is white for 10 minutes or so then I get a charge error and the light turns red.

***Update***

I spoke with Tesla Wall Charger support today. Walked through everything and they are sending me a new face for the charger. No electrical work required, just shut it down at the breaker and replace the face. Sad part is its expected to be 1.5 to 2 weeks to get it. I will update everyone then.

I ordered the wall charger through Best Buy. It was supposed to be available next week but now it won’t be ready until Nov 30. I can’t find any news on any delays, has anyone heard anything? Thinking it might be time to find a different option.

Why not just purchase it directly from Tesla? Mine arrived in two weeks and I purchased it on launch day (8/15) back in August and had it in hand on 8/30.

+1 for people who installed a $600 product that wasn't ready for release. I've factory reset the thing, changed the access control setting from the Tesla Pro app as well as the built in web interface (thanks to all the info provided here). It won't charge my R1T. What's worse is my NEMA 1450 outlet was removed as part of the install so I'm stuck charging at public chargers or at 12 amps. Tesla's response is "we'll get back to you in 3 days".
