OK, we have 2 1/2 weeks left in the month of February. I have a VERY difficult time believing that any significant non-employee deliveries have happened yet. There was an article about ramping up to 200 per week. Let's assume this article was off by 50% and as several here have stated, the actual number is closer to 100 per week. Well then, since Jan 1, we should have had 500 deliveries. I know that is very low, but of those 500, you would think that AT LEAST ONE of them would be to someone on this forum. I know we are but a tiny number of enthusiasts, but it is the enthusiasts that have been along since the beginning. How many 2018 reservation holders are still around and NOT on social media?

I will make my guess that during the March call, there will be no more the 1,500 vehicles produced and 1,400 delivered. Of those, I would venture to guess 140 are non-affiliated customers.

I hope I am wrong, but the Jan-Feb deliveries appear to be a complete miss.

At this point, I'd guess less than 20 truly third party customers through the end if January.

Pre-IPO investors and VIPs are not third party customers.

I was going to say 14, but not even I am that pessimistic. ?

Lol, I increased my estimate to get to 20, and almost did 1% of your number too.

Kirk : Kirk to Normal.

Spock : Spock here.

Kirk : Captain Spock, damage report.

Spock : Admiral, if we go "by the book". like Lieutenant RJ Saavik, days could seem like months.

Kirk : I read you captain. Let's have it.

Spock : The situation is grave, Admiral. We won't have customer deliveries for six "days". Auxiliary power tonneau cover has temporarily failed. Restoration may be possible, in two "days". By the book, Admiral.

Kirk : Meaning you can't even have a guide contact us?

Spock : Not at present.

They have not achieved a 200 a week rate. That's only a goal. That article has been misquoted so many times.
It is a lofty goal that will take months to achieve.

I fully expect Rivian to hold out on announcing delays for Jan - Feb deliveries until Feb 28th.

They won't announce anything until the earnings call or after. Just like October came and went without acknowledging shit until the next month.

I'm grouchy today.

They have to tell the jan-fev people something. Whether or not you consider that an announcement I'm not sure.

March first can't come and they tell godfodder that he is still on track for February.

They literally did that in October. Lol. Last few days of the month "it's still happening I guess guys."

Remember, Carter sold his damn 4Runner because his guide couldn't even tell him they weren't going to deliver.

Edit: Carter was November. Same deal though.

IIRC The October gang didn't get confirmation until the start of November. Let me see if I can find it.

October 31st and Godfodder's guide wouldn't confirm shit. If they are delayed again, I fully expect zero proactive communication. They don't give a shit, and want to protect the stock as much as possible. Is be willing to bet that even if nobody we know on any foru. Gets a truck they won't say they are delayed in the call. They will continue to say they are delivering. Because they technically are.

No problem being grouchy. Natural given the repeated communication issues this company has. They have a great product, have down the hard work and are ramping up but their communication group is woeful.

I was shocked that an employee who joined last November got their truck in January (was on this forum). I can understand employees who joined in say 2019 or so but not three months ago. That is unfair to long time reservation holders. Over a thousand trucks are out there now, it is time for third party customers.

I don’t believe in the ’no win’ scenario.

It’s not shocking if you take this as evidence that they still aren’t making customer-ready trucks. They give them to employees because they have some issue, tonneau or other, that Rivian just can’t fix. That seems far more likely than Rivian continuing to prioritize employees over us.

I have started to look for other options. There’s just nothing out there I want.

Id love to purchase a competitor, I just cant find one. The Lightning is far too large for my needs and since I didn’t pre order I wouldn’t get it until next year at the earliest. With what little I’ve heard in the way of customer deliveries, Iā€˜m pretty skeptical of my 2H22 delivery timing.
