Come on now, dinner can be cooked on the back of the R1S....let's see those pics....We got Her!!!!! SuEllyn drove her back to the campground. Pictures will be posted later. We are going to head out for a celebratory dinner.

Big congrats and safe travels back home.We finally have the R1T in our possession. The Factory Delivery was a great experience. We also took the factory tour. We were very impressed. The delivery process was very well done. SuEllyn took a test drive with one of the Rivian technicians.
We love driving her. We put 30 miles on Opal just tooling around Normal.
Here are some pictures from the delivery.
Who gets to drive Opal home?We love driving her. We put 30 miles on Opal just tooling around Normal.

Isn't it bluebonett time in hill country?
Just meant it might be nicer than this for a week, we have family in southern Illinois so had researched camping spots for our Airsteam.
We know that this campground is not very picturesque. It is basically a parking lot with RV hookups. We chose it for a couple of specific reasons. It is only ten minutes from the Rivian Factory and it is brand new. This means that we have the best shot of having a good 50 amp electric outlet to give Opel a decent overnight charge.Just meant it might be nicer than this for a week, we have family in southern Illinois so had researched camping spots for our Airsteam.
Congratulations @moosetags, love the color!
Opal is primarily SuEllyn's truck. She is the one who found out about Rivians 4 1/2 years ago and made her deposit. Accordingly, she will probably do most of the Opal driving. We plan that Opel will do at least some of the towing of the Airstream. We want to get a feel for her towing range.Who gets to drive Opal home?
