I live 250 miles from a service center and just rolled 27,000 miles. 2 visits so far. Hasn't ruined my life. ABRP says your trip home is very doable even at 1 mi/kWh.

Yes. It cost me $16 dollars to drive there. @mitchel674 i really love the truck. When they announced it in 2018 i loved it. I completely understood what it would mean to have the truck and what service would mean for the first couple years. Start ups are going to be that way.

Destihl is good, but if you want something more "local" and IMO more enjoyable area experience,

Keg Grove Brewing (https://keggrovebrewing.com/kgbc)

It's further away from the Rivian plant and the expressways, but much more of the local feel. Destihl is an experience you can get at a lot of other beer halls IMO.

If I lived near you, for $500/hr I'd pick up your car, take it to the SC and bring you back a loaner, then do the reverse when ready for pickup

I wouldn't get one then. It's so simple. Get another car. Nobody should get something that they are going to bitch and moan about going into it. Lots of people on this forum have issues with potential service issues knowing exactly what they are getting into and it's incredibly tiresome. They are a start up with limited locations and trying to build more.

Wait! I will do it for $400. Pay me to drive a Rivian? Hell yes!

My local SC is 7 miles away. If it was 50+ miles away I would have purchased a different vehicle. My SC has already outgrown the building and service appointments are currently 2-months out.

We all need to remember that Rivian is an automotive start up and no guarantee that they will be around 5-years from now.
