Hi,

Looking to get a trolley jack.

Had to buy the pucks a while back for American Tire, so looking for a trolley jack that will take the weight (3.5t) of the car & adapt to use the pucks.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

Thanks in advance!

3 ton minimum per manual. Get a long reach unless you have extra long pucks. I’ve got two, one a long reach and the other used with a tall puck. Height is needed because you have to raise vehicle to its highest and thenn jack the vehicle up. Both of mine are from Harbor Freight and have been used flawlessly to change and rotate tires. If you want one for off-road, look for something like HF’s BadLand. It has bigger wheels and height, but is a little pricier.

My old steel Craftsman from the 1970s just gave up a couple years ago.
The replacement aluminum from HF has been great. Plenty of choices on rating.

I also have the Harbor Freight BadLands jack. Built like a tank. I really like the height adjustable extension that allows the jack to work with everything from passenger cars to lifted off-road vehicle. 5 stars.

I also have the Badlands Jack from Harbor Freight. It has plenty of capacity and lift for the Rivian. While you’re at it, get their wheel dolly. It really makes wheel changing a lot less frustrating.

If you are going to grab a Harbor Freight jack/dolly and you are not in a hurry, I would watch for their sales, especially for their Inside Track members. For instance, the dolly I purchased was listed at $130. It was on sale for members only. I purchased a membership ($25) at the same time I purchased the dolly and my total cost (membership + dolly) was only $126.
