Hey folks, quick (and exciting) update on the next run of the Tunnel Tray.

We just got the final prototype bracket back from the local fabricator we've been working with. We assembled the full setup, and, oh man, it’s great! Clean fit, easy glide, and a solid lock that feels just right.

We’re within a few days of opening pre-orders. Just putting the final few details in place to make sure this run goes off without a hitch. Once those are in place, we’ll open up a limited run for the first batch.

If you’ve been waiting for V2, now’s the time to start clearing space in your tunnel.
We’ll drop more details soon and you can view the updated product page here. Appreciate the patience and the feedback that helped shape this version!

I was just about to click on another gear tunnel tray but I love the clean design of this!

Two questions:

1) It will, in fact, slide out either side after installation?

2) Are the slots on the sides of the tray L-Track compatible?

love the redo. my orig version is excellent and the extra inch+ of clearance means a lot to us and it works like a charm. prob upgrade as the new one has all those attachment points and i can remove the stainless disc subwoofer feet i had to use to shim for clearance:) no they did not help the bass stereo sound ;)

working on a way to retrofit- cut off legs and adjust frame of Pi Pro smoker to possibly fit.

Wahoo, just in time!
1) Yes! When installed the tray slides out from each side of the gear tunnel.
2. The slots on the side are in fact L Tracks that are mounted to the tray. It will be compatible with L Track accessories and tie downs.

Sold out?
That's just a quirk of how the product page is set up. When we release pre-orders the "Sold Out" button will be replaced with a "Pre-Order" button that you can use to place you order.

Interrobang team. Nice work. Quick questions. Does this new version lock in place? The previous version had a flush cut out handle to pull the tray out, this one has a raised bar to pull? I get everyone has their own use case, but wondering why that was changed? I find it easier to slide things in and out without a raised bar on the end.

Thanks again!

Thanks, John, we're excited about this version of the tray!

This new version locks in place in the tunnel and when extended.

We also liked the flush cut but with our desire to make the tray as low as possible, more often than not, we found ourselves scraping our knuckles on tunnel door and opening when pulling the tray out. The raised handle greater comfort and a much easier pull for the tray.

Literally us using the flush cut handle:

Let me think about it a little bit before I commit to anything specific, but it wouldn’t be difficult to do the flush cut handle in place of the new raised design. Like Sara said, I just kept hitting my fingers on the door latch, but I agree that it’s easier to access without the bar.

Seem like a none-issue? One could just tilt cargo and slide it in past the raised handle. But, that got me wondering maybe a tethered compass yellow nylon strap/loop at each end of the slide—instead of the knurled brass bar—would allow sliding of cargo (no thinking required) and reduce your production cost.

Or, maybe it's not a nylon loop at all but holes or cutouts that folks could loop soft recovery shackles through. Dual purpose. Slider pull and soft shackle storage.

Great minds think alike! These just showed up today for a similar idea. My hope is that this tray can be an infinitely customizable platform for whatever people need in their tunnels. We have a million ideas for accessories and add ons, but I feel like the community will have even more that I would have never thought of. The storage area underneath the tray is a huge opportunity for keeping things like recovery gear that you want to have, but don’t need every day.
