On IOS, I sign-in with username/password, receive and enter in my MFA verification code and then this. Rinse, repeat, unable to login. No issues getting into the website, just the app. Anyone else running into this issue?

The whole key card as a backup is good info. Had to call home and have son bring me a card. Currently planning a 1k+ trip, I’ll have to add a card to my everyday travels, too

i would never travel with just my PaaK whether its short or long drives. that's just asking for trouble as we all know s/w and network infrastructure (like AWS) is buggy, can get attacked, or just simple human error can take it down regardless of if its Rivian's issue or not. or simply running out of battery on your phone.

you should always travel with a keycard, fob, or wristband (for those with LE).

Looks like progress is being made… now get a login error instead of the page simply refreshing.

My suspicion is that it’s an AWS issue (Amazon Web Server) … a product my company uses is also currently experiencing issues, and it runs on AWS servers. Amazon owns sooo much of the web and connected device backbones.

Yikes, good reminder to keep your card key in your wallet at all times. Now I am curious, does PAAK not work if you are outside of cell/internet service?

PAAK must authenticate through the app somehow. I was really confused when I walked up to my truck and it wouldn’t open.

This sucks, but also strange. What if you have no cell service? PAAK does not work then??
Geez, lesson learned here!

Maybe I missed it, but where are the usual posters that say this type of stuff happens with Tesla all the time. Or that it took Tesla like a decade to get these things ironed out? I haven't ever owned and likely never will own a Tesla, so curious?

We've identified an issue that limits your ability to use your "phone as a key" functionality.

What should I do?
  • Drivers will need to carry another form of vehicle access (key fob, key card, key band) as these keys still have full functionality.
  • For now, avoid opening or using the Rivian app.
What should I do in case of emergency?
If you're experiencing an emergency, please dial 911.

If you need your vehicle remotely unlocked, please contact our Service Team at 855-RIVIAN5 (855-748-4265), we may be able to assist. Note that “phone as a key” will not function until this issue is resolved.

The Service team can also provide rideshare credits to impacted drivers.

How long do you think this issue will persist?
We'll continue to update you until the issue is resolved.
