Seen on the Mach-E forum. It is worse, appears that the replacements may have issues.

Don’t know how widespread it might be but you might want to test it releases before visiting a Tesla SC.
I received my Lectron yesterday and I have the same issue. The original problem is gone, but the unlatching mechanism is now difficult to use and it gets stuck.

I am returning to Lectron for a refund and ordering A2Z. I feel sorry for the company. This is going to be a huge financial hit for them.

I don't understand why anyone would pay more money for Lectron Vortex adapter and take on the risk of safety defects.

I would order an A2Z adapter using the "RIV" discount code to get it for $177 shipped and then call A2Z to upgrade to $15 overnight expedited shipping.

It still takes 3 weeks for your order to ship out and then after that you will get it next day with UPS Overnight.

They are extremely responsive and will be able to give you an idea when your adapter should arrive.

Maybe ask them what options you have available to expedite delivery.

Call A2Z:

Are you getting a commission for passing these links around? I feel like every thread I've seen you in lately, this is linked.

Don't worry, I used the code RIV and am patiently awaiting my A2Z adapter.

And now this update from the Lectron YouTube video creator on the Mach-E forum with some suggestions:

So the CEO of Lectron scolded me a little for not demonstrating this properly. Now in my defense the latch was really hard to press so I think there is something wrong with my unit, after I finally got it separated (It took both my thumbs pressing the button as hard as I can and another person pulling the handle off) now it's starting to loosen up and it's becoming easier to install and remove. To be fair to Lectron, The instructions in the box say you're only supposed to put in and take out the supercharger cable with the adapter attached to the car. It does make it easier to remove that way. I've put the adapter on and pulled it off probably 50 times now and it's not as easy as I think it should be but it's getting better.
It may get easier to separate with time but it still took two people to separate. supposed to be connected to the vehicle while removing but I would leary of putting too much force on the vehicle CCS connectorif the catch is still partially engaged.

Time for the YT crew to get out there and enlighten us on how it works.

Seriously, @MidnightRivian it's too much. The screenshots and photos are completely unnecessary. You've been spamming those in every thread about adapters. It's ridiculous.

Wait a minute, I thought that the adapter+plug should be removed from the vehicle FIRST before detaching the adapter from the NACS cable. This is how the instructions for Rivian/Ford are written. Lectron is wrong here!!

I guess Lectron has their own charging procedure to follow.

My personal opinion is that any adapter should be foolproof since they will be used without regard to the actual instructions by a wide range of drivers. So they should be safe irrespective of the assembly order, provide a locked, low resistance connection, and assemble/disassemble without undue force being required. Not sure if this last condition is being met but time will tell.

I think Tim-in-CA is right, both NACS and adapter are to be removed together first. But, if the charging session has stopped, there shouldn't be any danger. But, "because lawyers", instructions are typically written to be as fail-safe as possible.

As for tightness of the adapters, I think it has to do with the polymer blend involved. Dimensions change between when they are freshly molded and when settled to room temp. So it's not precise to start with. And to account for wear, they are probably made slightly oversized.
